I do know Terry and now gov Reynolds are the reason Iowa farmers pay such low comparative property taxes (to states like mn and Nebraska). They made it so taxes can only go up a little no each year no matter what valuations do. If taxes followed valuations, we'd be paying hundreds of dollars per acre now instead of $30's.
He also kept spending in check and kept the state on track to be one of the best run states annually. You apparently don't remember the mess we had under Culver (and Vilsack to a lesser degree). | |
