Go to strip till. Corn did more to fight compaction than any iron ever will. Chisel plow and disc ripper are why you get compaction so easy

The corn on corn the strip tool can get your fertilizer below the layer of residue so you get less tie up. And you still get that good seed bed



Corn roots make a huge difference. Put in some stalk fence this afternoon and huge difference in how soft the ground is between the row vs the middles
