Western Illinois | BTO’s in western Illinois are not going to like the forecast. Most guys farming within their means are finished. It’s hard not to be with weather like we’ve had since mid Sept. Yields were slightly below average to average for the most part. I think most would be pleasantly surprised with corn being average. Soybeans were disappointing, but still just slightly below average. They really had monster potential back in mid to late August but no finishing rains left many pods aborted.
