Latimer, Iowa (north central) | This old railroad bed is definitely more niche! Been gone since the 1970s. Had a train that went between Hampton, Latimer and Alexander. I guess the train went so slow that everyone called it Fido, because it was a dog, and the tracks were very rough. They could hop on and off as it was moving at top speed. We have 4 fields still affected by ole Fido’s tracks though. :-).
Fields are back side of the course, clubhouse is more in town. The golfer bailed from the hole along the field when I started spreading though. |
