Latimer, Iowa (north central) | We love the loader. For this job I don’t know how something could be handier unless it was a little bigger. It’s a Schaffer 9660T. Will lift 12,000 lbs and a max height of 20 foot. It’s more of a wheel loader than a telehandler. For ag use it’s really the best of both. This is the biggest model they make. The only annoyance is the quick tach adaptor is a Euro style so buckets for a US endloader don’t fit. Have to get bucket’s specifically for it and they aren’t as common as a JRB. The cab and seat are also not as nice as a US machine. The controls are good, just mainly the seat kinda sucks but I am 6’6 275 so like bigger spaces.
We bought the loader new, this is actually the second one. The first one, when delivered kept having hydraulic issues, blowing hoses, tranny issues, blew apart the hydraulic filter, all within the first 50 hours of use. Dealer was very helpful but we couldn’t figure it out so the distributor, from by St Louis 5 hours away, on a Saturday, after it blew up the hydraulic filter, sent a full service truck and a semi with a brand new unit on it up. They got here about 5 pm on a Saturday, worked on the first unit a bit, then decided to just give us the brand new one. Turns out the hydraulic pump at been setup wrong and was putting out like double the pressure. The replacement machine has been flawless for 250 hours and they threw in a full service/filter oil kit for our trouble. So County View Equipment in St Ansgar Iowa and Show me Shortline in Centralia Mo get an endorsement.
Very nice machine and worth a look. |
