North Central Illinois | I agree on the Sunn hemp. It is definitely the best suited summer annual to go with something as vigorous as sorghum sudangrass.
This year I planted a pearl millet, Sunn hemp, buckwheat, turnip, and crimson clover mix. I left out sorghum sudangrass so I wouldn't have to worry about prussic acid poisoning if grazing during times of frost. I was pretty well satisfied with it. | |
