Years ago we bought a combine from a senior citizen farmer in Indiana , I think it was a JD 6600 so you know it has been many years . He had made sheet metal boxes to park the combine wheels in . They were about 18" tall and the ones for the drive tires were about 30" X 60" and for the steer tires about 15" X 30" . He would jack up the combine and take off the wheel , set the wheel in the metal box ,slide the box/wheel back in place put the studs back in and let combine down . There was no way that mice or rats could get in the machine. Tractors were the same way over winter
Now that is an idea did you take the pans with the combine ? |
