to get herd immunity a high % have to be vaccinated
The % varies with different diseases.
Would have to look it up but I think polio is relatively lower while measles is quite high
Not sure any data has shown what the 5 for herd immunity is for Covid but of course it would be like the flu and you need immunity from each of the new versions that come from mutations that happen in those who are sick with it.
