Western Oregon | I am not going to. Wife, Son and I took the J&J. No booster. We each have compromised immune systems. Son was a teacher did distance learning from home. We all did social distancing as we always do during an outbreak of anything. School was starting that fall and Son was having to go back to the building. We took them in August, after a lot of discussion.
I haven't had good results from any "shots". Took the series for Hep 3 times, never took. I had shingles, big sores, doctor recommended the shot, 2 weeks later I had shingles again. Took shot again after a 6 mos wait, 2 weeks later got them again. I must say the meds now, taken right then, really help, no lasting scars. I will not be taking the new shot. Will take the meds quick, I can live with that. I had the polio shot and sugar cube thing, I got polio, came on quick, hit hard but not a long case. I had weakness on left side, within a year most symptoms were gone but have lasting weakness. I have had 3 polio relapses, each worse than the one before. I have made it to 67, never taken a flue shot. I may in time take the pneumonia shot.
This week I have had a cold, chills twice, cough and headache for 2 days, about as bad a cold as I have ever had. Don't think it's covid. Didn't know it was a thing around here now. Lot of virus going around in the schools though. But neighbor, 74 wasn't feeling good this morning, daughter is Walmart pharmacist, did the test and he is positive. We had met a few times last week and I did chores for him so he could hunt late. He is doing OK, very tired and achy. He took the shots and 2 boosters. I am not going to test even though we have them. Other than a slight cough once in a while, no symptoms left....James | |
