Subject: RE: Latest Covid shot

Not sure I will get another booster or not...

These shots as many have finally learned to not prevent one from getting Covid, they are just to hopefully keep one from getting so sick you end up in the hospital and/or the cemetery. They provide no immunity like other vaxx.

A cousin of mine lost her mom and grandma a couple days apart to Covid. I doubt either had a shot based on what I know but not sure. Another cousins wife died of it too but she had a lot of other health issues. Suspect she was not vax'd either but don't know.

I had the original pfizer shot in '20 and its required booster a month later. 1st one had little side effects, 2nd one was sick as a dog for a few days. I had a booster back in Jan of '21. Was sick as a dog for a few days. Not sure I want to go through that again!

Since then, I have suspected having some lingering side effects like headaches and cough that never had before. Could also be allergies as I get older or that Canada smoke too. Probably no way to be sure.

My elderly mom in asst. living home has had many Covid shots and according to her, no side effects at all. But, she was never one to get sick much anyway or complain if she was.

Last summer ('22) I visited her and then I find out a week or so later that she had had Covid when I was there (they do regular tests on the residents). Apparently no symptoms, etc.

So, I used one of those home tests and sure enough I had a marker on it although never felt sick as such.

I don't get out much in public or crowds so not sure I want to end up sick as a dog for a few days again (selfish I am sure).
