If you really want to be confused do sap analysis on growing crop. The more I travel down this rabbit hole the more confused I get. I’ve taken 3 years off of any P&K simply because I refused to pay the high prices. We took conventional samples this fall on a farm we’ve pulled 240 bu corn, 72bu beans, and 136bu wheat off of. I was fully expecting proof that we raped the fertility and instead there was nothing required other than some lime.

Ha ha yep. I "mined" a field for 9 years. P went up or statistical tie. PH stayed the same. Talk to retail Agronomy and they can't explain it. Talk to a soil scientist like John Kempf and they say that is what they would expect.

Sap test and apply..9 lbs of K in foliar gave me a much better response than 60 lbs in strip.

Excited to see next year what we can do with N.
