When it comes to cheap feeders I often wonder if there are any cattle that are cheap. My dad bought 40 head unvaccinated calves out of Ft Pierre sale barn Dec. of 1996. Everyone of them came down with BVD. It took the better part of a month to see the end. Death loss was about 20% if I remember right. I told him never do that again even if they give them to you for free.
My kid told me ‘never do that again’. I’d probably tell him to fk right off. |
