Exactly! Almost getting a truck and always getting a truck can make a huge difference in being able to harvest a crop. Owning a semi does not mean it will not break down either. But trying to lease a truck is not as cheap and easy as you make it out to be. Picking the wrong start and return dates results in paying for a truck you don't need, and not having one when you do.
Owning vs renting. Newer with more emissions problem vs old, but no emissions and less electronics. High mileage early models, vs low milage late models. Driveability that comes with an automatic along with its price, reliability and repair costs vs a manual transmission. These are not easy decisions, unless you suffer from Dunning-Kruger effect. |
