We went from 1660 to 7120. I would recommend flagship of the legacy combines. You can find them on auctions relatively cheap. We picked one up 2 years ago with 1500 hours for 70. With that being said time is a constraint for me with working full time and farming at night I kind of wish I would have looked more at a 8120 or 9120 because could have bought for about same price at the time because everyone around ran class 7 combines. Prolly could have picked up 12 row head and 40-45 ft head for same price as I did an 8 row and 30 ft head. I’ve learned never be afraid to buy bigger because time is money and weather can change in a hurry. If you can get an extra 5-10 acres done a night when you don’t start till 5-6 that means a lot at the end of the year.
