| We are trying to do a better job tracking inputs and profits on our cattle. We currently retain and finish all of our calves, taking from weaning to finish using a steer stuffer. With the stuffer, We feed the same ration from start to finish. We don't run them in groups, all sizes are in one group. We can finish in 14-16 months. We just don't know how we would track profits, since it really is difficult to figure a total cost for each animal, as the group is always changing. Anyone else do something similar? | |
