Franklinton, LA | I would suggest making a pass into the wind after installing the new spreader blades. You can then measure the total width of the spreader pattern. Your material will be more evenly spread if the swath width is no more than 40% of the total pattern width.
Also, I would suggest running a race-track pattern if the spinners are not turning the same speed or the material is not feeding evenly from side to side. The coverage will be a lot more uniform than what you would have with a back and forth pattern.
