Depends on the dirt. We've pulled a 13 shank DMI NH3 bar with a 2-155 White 2wd before. It didn't set any speed records but it did alright.
As for the cart, I wouldn't hesitate to put a 800-900 bu cart behind a 4840. Maybe even 1000 if you can use your head about how full/fast you pull it and where.
Same 2-155 had a 780 Brent cart behind it for several years. Only got stuck twice, both times in places it never should have been.
