Probably totally unrelated but I had a T-800 with similar issue. Turned out there was a large inline fuse in the battery cables, inside the battery box ,that had pulled slightly apart. The fuse itself was still good but the contacts were no longer touching. Pulled things apart, cleaned them back up and snapped the connector back together and things were good to go.
