Of course if I had not been up on the rack holding the reins the horses would have probably followed commands from the ground or the man building the load to follow the row of stocks and wait for each one to be loaded.
By the time I was 8 and older I was building the loads although the men pitching the sheaves placed many properly from the ground so I only had to position some of them and then top off the load | |
