Yes, the clear hose would have displayed the bubbles. With as much going on, I over thought things, and should've done that as a first diagnosis. I tend to make things harder than they are actually for myself
I didn't think I had any 1/2" clear nh3 hose on hand, and wasn't sure if the lightweight clear hose at the local hardware store would've kept from sucking in, that I could've gotten the next morning
Have a pressure gauge on the excavator pressure dropped and I looked a the hoses quick it looked like the gauge was between the filters so I messed with the suction for way to long then the sun was shining brighter and I saw that the hoses were flipped under a bracket
changed the second filter and magic had my pressure back
dumped the filter on paper towel ,shook it threes times while dumping and nothing comes out
it is going to be cut in half the next time, have already treated for algae |
