Fontanelle, IA | To the OP, you really need to “define” where your 1000 acres are located in proximity to everything else and work back from there.
Tractors and wagons if all your land is within a few miles radius of your base. Tractors and wagons… Not so much if you are 40 miles hauling across 2-3 counties.
It takes more mules in spring and fall than you think. Auger tractors, 4 wheelers to get here-and-there, 1tractor on a rut fixer, 1 tractor on the sprayer, 1 on the planter…. As it might not be “fit” to plant but perfect to spray. | |
