When you are cutting as low as the sickle can physically go and still snipping the bottom pods they need to be a bit higher up.

I think in my case going with narrower rows would help more, still on 30" and the beans just seem to be podding too low to get them all. Shorter than neighbors with narrower rows, though mine also have less stem to run through the combine. They bushed out and made more pods per plant but doesn't help when you are cutting the lowest pods.
