Corn is usually ground course, so you don’t have a big acidity spike that leads to acidosis(founder).
Grinding course also leads to cattle sorting the feed more.


Maybe forage but I have never seen cattle sort corn kernels.  Don't you Canadian guys feed barley anyhow?

Interesting.  I've fed a lot of cattle and never seen that.  I'm sure it depends on the details.
