Eastern SD | As others have said you will need to stretch it. Most flighting is cupped so make sure you get it on the right way. The flighting is usually harder than your weld so weld on the back side away from the grain or your welds may wear off before flighting is worn. Alternating welds on opposite sides of the tube will help with straightness. Setting it up and spinning it with bearings is the best for straightening. Iv done hundreds if not thousands of augers in my welding shop days and i hate the stuff. Its a pain in the neck. | |
