MT-ND | The system has been tested twice in 40 years, once under Trump where half the country made such a pointless fuss about it and half the broadcasters shut off their equipment and now, now.
The same reason why you test the air raid sirens, the National Weather Service Emergency Alert System, and other warning systems, to see if it actually works.
The same reason why schools have tornado drills. The same reason why you may have practiced duck and cover.
The same reason when when you start your vehicle the dash lights up and the gauges go nuts.
The same reason why your farm equipment does the same.
To see if it works.
The system is in place and has been long paid for, paid for way back in the 1990s, and before that way before when the cold war was heating up.
