North East Wimmera district of Victoria. | Forty years ago our kids went to our little country school, my father, and I - in turn - had both gone there also. My cousin - half a mile down the road, also had kids going to that school so we shared 'school runs'. They were NEVER early, [we had to wait for them to come to our gate, as school was further that direction] so they had to come each morning, for our 'week' or pick up our kids when it was their week. Other school kids would be in starting class when we arrived! For EIGHT school years. |
