My feeling is. I would rather be a bit too narrow. Then have to go shallower, much slower than I want. BUT I always like stuff I can unbolt as needed, add back once bigger tractor bought.
Both of my springtooth, might disc/chisel, as well as chisel plow were too big for my tractor. Removing 1-4 units from each side, but adding them as I go bigger.
