Those are fine. The ones with a straight bevel cut on the ends are hard to get a screwdriver to grip it. They tend to just rotate in their groove and your tool slips off the end and it snaps back into place. Those require a two screwdriver technique….. one to pinch the ring against the housing so it can’t spin and the other to pry the free end out of the groove.
How do you remove these Timken retainers?
