I disagree about steins, Jerseys can have a mean steak that puts any other breed to shame. One time when I was little, maybe 5-6, dad loaded up one of the last bulls we ever had and took him to the yards. It was one of my first visits to the yards and found myself wandering around on the catwalks above the pens just as they were driving our Jersey down the alley to be put in a 14x14 pen with 6 or 7 foot solid walls, which happened to contain two of the largest Holstein bulls I ever saw. Once the door slammed shut the three of them started circling and snorting at each other, in less than ten seconds one of the steins ended up in the next stall over and our jersey was working fast to get under the second one but this fight lasted about a minute before the brown beat the black and white and put him over the wall also.
