Only pets I want are smaller than me.
I'm okay with pets being a lot bigger than me, provided they're not bulls. In my herd of 35 Jerseys, a third of them are bratty pets that I trust almost completely.

I've never had any physical encounters with bulls myself, but I watched my dad get put down by a Jersey-cross yearling bull who hadn't shown the slightest aggression up until that second. Fortunately, the encounter scared the bull as much as it did my dad, and both scrambled clear. A local man was killed by a Brown Swiss bull about 20 years ago. I was talking with his hired man recently, who told me that the farmer died mostly because the first-responders took 45 minutes to even respond to the scene.
