Highland Center, in Southeast Iowa | Had a conversation last weekend with a woman I've known probably 20 years. She carries a cell phone with her at all times. She charges the battery 2ce a year and looks to see if she has any messages. She is of the opinion that if the battery is charged and the phone is on, that "they" are tracking her. My initial thought, considering this particular woman, was 'what in the world would 'they' be tracking you for????'. I can't say that I poo-poo the notion entirely, because I do believe there's a lot of tracking going on that we're not necessarily aware of. But why in the world, if you sincerely felt this way, would you bother with checking a phone 2ce a year???? |
