I used to have a 30’ 8200 flex head, and its backbone broke a little ways in from the drive end. I veed it and welded it, and also bolted a piece of steel across the break. I used that head probably at least five years after that, and it held! I was happy to get rid of that head though, love the 9255 35’ Draper that we got. The outer auger fingers would break like brittle Christmas candy!
