RR Valley, ND; MN native | I try to calibrate arriving a couple of minutes early but not too early.
One grandma (born in 1897) was pretty religious. So, being late to church would seem to be a bad thing right? Clocks in the house were set about 5-10 min fast so she would not be late getting ready. Didn't work too well as grandpa would be sitting in the car waiting and honk the horn (she would be pretty mad when that happened!). They only had about 1/2 mile to church and often arrived just as the announcements were starting so the doors had been shut. | |
