Lot of work but cool! Hardest thing when estimating yields is figuring out what number of kernels per bu to use. I always say in normal field situations we can swing yields by 50 bpa by using the wrong/right number. With you showing basically 65000 to 100,000 kernels per bu it's even more! Nice work Mike. That took some time.


You seem to be detail orientated so I ask because there is a chance you have knowingly tracked it. Are you seeing a correlation to particular hybrid with a kernel weight range and do you think a seed selection column in hybrid seed catalogs will have this rating?

I have never my question asked before so I have no idea if any tangible agronomic or economic value could be derived from the data points.
