Highland Center, in Southeast Iowa | Made me smile.
One of the dearest friends we could ever have had was killed in an auto accident in August. He couldn't abide being late. He was generally OK if other people were, but it just wasn't in his nature. We were having a soup supper at our house and he was included. He asked if he could make his soup when he got here, and that was fine. Mealtime was called for 6:30pm. We came home from a function at 9:40am, and his truck was parked in our drive. I will always smile at any conversation that mentions timeliness or punctuality because I'll be thinking of Frankie. |
