Douglass Kansas

One farm got 17" from Oct 15 to Aug 1 field averaged 85, 17-11=6 85/6=14.2 bushel per inch

Another farm got 22" from Oct 15 to Aug 15 had a field average of 150, 22-11=11 150/11=13.6 bushel per inch

Corn on first farm was dead when it rained in Aug. Both fields were in soybeans last year and there was no subsoil moisture on Oct 15.

Most years it rains about twice as much and we have yields that are lower than 150. In those years there is lots of runoff and corn is hurt in May from being too wet.
