On an individual farm basis it makes a difference, because like you said there is more water to sell in the grain. But many don’t realize that a soy plant is buying and converting the grains matter that isn’t water to the end products, so the output yield doesn’t change much.
Differences in field loss, however are real (and an annual occurrence for many)… maturing from 14% to 8-9 in a few days.
