| I knew what you was referring to, also. I never picked corn with a mounted picker, only picked with a New Idea 309 snapper picker which I still have. Neighbor in early eighties picked corn with a John Deere 120 snapper picker one row mounted to a John Deere 2510 narrow front end tractor. Couple years later they brought a one row New Idea 309. Another neighbor around the same time had a New Idea 2 row mounted picker ( not sure of model # ) on an Allis Chalmers WD45 narrow front tractor and he also had a New Idea 309 snapper picker. They were raising ear corn to grind for feeding to calves. | |
