One source says 25 inches of rain for 200 BPA 8 bushels per inch . Iowa's yearly rain averages is 32 inches inches. Some calculate runoff from the fields at about 9 inches. So in Iowa last year 23 inches of rain gave about 190 BHA. So 8 times 23 is 184. Does this fit your fields this year? The runoff figure can make a big difference. Another 50 to 70 BPA if no runoff.

July weather helped by not have a heat wave like the last 2 weeks in August. Both 1988 and 2012 had high heat in July.
