VT | Looks like comparable houses in Marysville OH are selling for 250k-300k. So that means you're paying 500k-600k for the barn and 62 acres, only half of which are going to generate any economic activity to speak of. That's quite a mountain to climb for a young person looking at 7.5% interest. I don't see how these asset valuations continue, but I've been saying that for the last few years and I continue to be wrong, despite the recent spikes in interest rates. I guess valuations won't come back down until a few rounds of overextended buyers get into trouble. If I were you I'd be focusing real hard on not being one of those overextended buyers. But only you know your financials. | |
