Subject: RE: Radio vs GPS

Back in the day the solution was to add a piece of hardware cloth under the cab roof to separate the two signals. It is almost always stray RF signal from the radio. We saw it a lot in the early days of AutoTrac and was most common with Yeasu radios, seems the 2 way guys liked them because they could turn them up to talk a long way. Like 100-150 watts. Saw one where the radio was causing erratic steering and turning off the radio did not fix but completely unplugging the radio did fix the problem.
