The corn plant is pretty resilient. It can look to he hurting really bad and still turn out excellent. It just depends when that period of looking really bad was. Timing is everything. I still say that it can be really dry in the eastern belt and things still turn out really well with a couple of timely rains because we don't typically get as hot as folks out west. West of the Mississippi if you have a dry June and July and a lot of heat I think your potential takes a big hit. East if you have a dry June and July with somewhat normal temps and the corn pollinates, you still have a shot at a really good crop.
