I’m pretty positive I’d rather let a NFL kicker square up and kick me right in the giblets if that meant I didn’t have to mow anymore. At the same time…I’ve got OCD like a Strike 1 and want nice straight lines, clean edges and no taller than 1.5”. Everything has it’s place, equipment is parked in a neat, particular fashion and I notice when the dumpster is outta square in its spot from the trash truck and have to make it right. And before anyone says it, no a zero turn won’t make it more enjoyable. The current chariot of misery is a Deere 2520 w/72” deck. It’s perfect for those beverages some might say. Nope…still would rather chance tea bagging a badger. Guess I’ll keep forcing myself through misery in hopes one day I’ll hire my own yard’ican to keep it mowed for me. Rant over "HERE" If I mowed a 1'5 inches my yard would be a mess of weeds and dead grass.BTDT, Moving to a 3.5 inch height 5 years ago is the best thing ever! Cut the amount of mowing, fertilizing and spraying and watering way back and looks way better! Took two years for the grass to recuperate from being scalped. Their is therapy available for your OCD, Two friends have had it and say it's life changing. I must admit they seem to be enjoying life much more. I just wish they could have shared a little of it with me!
