I'll do another check on the housing. If it looks OK, guess I'll look into the dowty seal. It's worth a shot before buying another final drive for the excavator.
Excavators are under tremendous hydraulic pressure. Have you tried a OEM o ring or checked pressure. Something is wrong for sure.
