Most of the beginning farmers here were born into a successful farming family. An occasional guy tries it from scratch but it's getting more rare and more difficult. Entry to the game is extremely tough and getting tougher with inflated land values.


then everyone will be using their kids as tokens for better insurance coverage like they already do with beginning farmer loans, will just get bid back into rent. the ones that like to capitalize are the ones already cranking out kids, kind of like the food stamp kids, we'll just call them FSA kids




Just another example of government programs dreamed up by simple minded government people screwing up things.

Getting government out of as many things as possible will get my vote every time. Don’t care about the personality of the person who will reduce government. Government advocates are destroying this once great country one idiotic idea at a time.
