No. The good soils on the flats dried out and the gumbo hillsides held a little moisture with just enough to pull through.

We have something similar going on here minus the side hill thing. The loamier areas that usually raise the field averages plain died and the tougher soils actually have some crop on them. This is with both corn and beans. It will be interesting overlaying this year's yield maps over historical maps.
