The better question in my mind is; if the headline of his article was concealed gen-sets and he was on scene doing the story, why didn't he take some pics and publish them in addition to the superchargers stalls?
The whole story seems to stem from an experiment that Tesla was conducting in 2015. It was a study in swappable battery packs and they did have a temporary gen-set serving the tests for a few months. It was hardly concealed and is long since gone and the swap concept abandoned too but if you trace all the Google links on this back far enough, that's where you will end up. |
