Glenwood, Mn
Took 42 out of 300 acre of beans out. Wet , wet, wet…. Had to start. Had a bunch of rain since so on stand still. Second driest year we have ever had on record. Got 3” of 10” for the whole year in august. 42 acres made 59 bpa across the scale even with the silly discounts from 17% moisture beans. That’s second best yield ever here.

Two years ago, same annual rain amount made 34 field average.

Farm average is 43.

Got a lot left to combine. Beans looked 30-40 ish but the august rains made the beans like marbles vs bbs.

5 mile south in better soil they are averaging 15. Variable is the name of the game here. Don’t know what to say.

The world is a big place.

Edit: full tillage on half of the field made 71 and the other half that was no till for four years was…. Significantly less……. (About 49 ish) I know….. I know…. The difference was noticeable. Roughly $275/acre gross difference.
