What happens when an NH3 tank ruptures?  When I hear that a tank under pressure ruptures, I assume that there is a hole in the tank large enough that after a few seconds there is no longer any pressure left in the tank. Is this what happened? thexradio.com says the tank was patched while some product was still in the tank.

After the pressure is gone, how long does it take for the liquid NH3 to change to a gas? Did large amounts of liquid come out of the tank or was it mainly gas.
