Listen to Dr Allis but also only use channel helicals on the separator side. Continue using the flat helicals on the thresher side, the channel helicals are moving the material to the left too quickly. Keep in mind that you now have twice the sharp edges for the material to follow,,where with the the flat helicals you have one edge. We even double stacked the flat helicals on the 2 cage doors above the feederhouse opening. I’ve been around the n,r, and now the s series combines since 1993. If you have been to the gleaner hyper mod website and have read about a guy that goes by HyperHarvest2,,,that is who I’ve worked for since 1993. It’s been fun modding these contraptions for the past 30 years and watching Gleaner finally come with some of these improvements after we had already done them.
Didn’t Dave only want a 1/2 set of channel helical put in IF you had one of his separator grates put in on the seperator side? Seemed He didn’t want us to use them until he found us one of his grates, then we put them in. Prior to that just the flat helicals and the double stacked ones to help move it along. |
